Dear readers Numismatica Ranieri and lovers of world of numismatics, in this article we will talk about the medals of Publio Morbiducci and famous artist of the Italian school to celebrate an event dedicated to him. It is held at the Academy of San Luca in Rome, from 3 November to 8 December, the exhibition "Publius Morbiducci (1889-1963) / paintings – sculptures – medals". 

The event, promoted by the Department of Cultural Policy – the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage, in collaboration with the The Accademia di San Lucaintended to illustrate the entire span of Publio Morbiducci, a member of the Accademia di San Luca, from 1937, and the artist is significant in the landscape of Italian art and culture between the two wars. The initiative has held considerable interest for Rome, where Morbiducci, he worked for his entire life by creating a series of monuments of particular importance such as the monument to the Division of Porta Pia, the monument to the Sailors perished in the sinking of the Submarine Veniero at the Verano, the sculptures of the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, Eur, the Discobolo in the Stadium of Marbles.

Of particular interest among the works exhibited, the group of thirteen paintings, dated 1915, and almost unpublished, that constitute a research moment of singular originality of expression of the young artist, involved in the climate of the renewal promoted by the exhibitions of the Roman Secession. It is an experience that explores the possibility plastics colour, according to an experiment similar to the one carried out at the same time in the sculpture and, in particular, in the series of Masks, exhibited at the exhibition of the Secession of 1915.
